The Talugians have worshipped their sun, Tiberius, for tens of thousands of years. Even today, 80% of the population worships Tiberius as their god, 15% are agnostic/atheist, and 5% other. The Talugians are a complex species, so they do not worship the sun simply because it is big and red. Tiberius is what allows them to live, it represents their very souls, a fiery red sun, so they feel connected to it as if it were their father. Thousands of years ago, a Talugian prophet named Allopo spread the worship of Tiberius when he claimed two fiery red angels came to him, telling him that the Talugians must travel to the dark side of the planet before 6 days pass. Many followed Allopo’s word, their belief in Tiberius was not as strong then but they figured nothing wrong could happen. To the 20% of the population that stayed on the daylight side inexplicably disappeared. When they returned, many holes were found within Talugians homes. These holes are believed to lead to Talugian hell, a land filled with water streams and rivers, where pain is dealt out to sinners. No one has dared to enter these holes. This reinforced the belief of their God Tiberius, capable of causing millions to disappear. This invoked fear yet respect for Tiberius.
